/CNW/ - The Senior Electoral Officer, John Koury, announced today the official 2009 election results for the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC) Board of Directors.
CSIC members elected the following individuals:
- Mr. Dory Jade, CCIC
Director, Quebec
- Ms. Eugenia Wang, CCIC
Director, British Columbia
A third non-consultant director, representing the public interest, will be
appointed from the province of Ontario in accordance with CSIC By-laws.
The new directors will join the following individuals on the CSIC Board:
- John Ryan, OSJ, CCIC, FCMI, ICD.D., C.Dir., ASC
Chair and Acting CEO
- Nigel Thomson, CCIC
Lead Director
- John Koury, MBA
Public Interest Director and Treasurer
- Nasiralli (Alli) Amlani, CCIC

Director
CSIC is the professional regulatory body for immigration consultants in Canada. Established in 2004 it currently has close to 1600 members. CSICs mandate is to protect consumers of immigration consulting services. Consequently, it is responsible for ensuring the education, competency testing and the discipline of its members. CSIC also requires its members to carry errors and omissions insurance and to contribute to a compensation fund.
